Skipper
As a skipper you sail our traditional sloop along the Zaan and share the stories of the windmills and the Zaan region with our guests.
What we're looking for
- Boating license or willing to obtain one
- Good knowledge of Zaanse Schans and its history
- Hospitable, calm and presentable
- Fluent Dutch and good English
- Available on weekends and/or during the season

Host – jetty & on board
As a host you welcome our guests at the jetty of Boutique Hotel Zaandijk, help them on board and make sure every trip starts with a warm welcome.
What we're looking for
- Hospitable, hands-on and eye for detail
- Strong communicator in Dutch and English
- Independent and calm under pressure
- Available on weekends and holidays
- Hospitality experience is a plus

KINacademy
Become a skipper through our own training
No boating license or experience? No problem. Through KINacademy — our internal KINboat skipper training — we train you practically to become a professional cruise skipper. Since 2019 the specialist on the Dutch canals with sloops.
- Personal guidance from experienced skippers
- Practical training: exactly what you need for your Open Boating License and Open Cruise Certificate
- Work towards the qualification certificate skipper open cruise boat (limited area)
- Exams in Amsterdam — valid throughout the Netherlands
